BOTOX® Cosmetic Treatments
BOTOX® Cosmetic is one of the most exciting new cosmetic treatments
available and has been shown to be extremely safe with pleasing results.
What are the benefits?
BOTOX® Cosmetic can be used to make a dramatic improvement in the
lines of expression we see on our foreheads, the frown lines (glabellar
area) and around our eyes (crows feet). With a simple injection, no
healing time and no scars, the annoying wrinkles can be reduced or
virtually eliminated.
How does it work?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a natural and purified protein that relaxes the
muscles by blocking nerve impulses. Once the muscles are at rest, the
skin becomes smoother, creating a more natural and relaxed appearance.
When will you see the results?
You will see a marked improvement within 5 -7 days (or less) that
may continue to improve for as long as 2 to 3 weeks.
How long does it last?
The effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic last up to 4 months. After repeated
injections the effects may last even longer.
How often can it be done?
BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments may be repeated when the effects of the
prior injection begin to wear off.
What can you expect immediately after treatment?
As BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected just under the surface of the skin
with a very short and tiny needle, there is generally no noticeable
bruising or bleeding. Make up may be applied after the treatments.
How long does the treatment take?
Depending on the areas treated, approximately 10-15 minutes.
